Useful Links for Parents

There are many places that you can access on line and telephone support.  Many links are available on the Cafcass main website, and this is a good place to start.

If you are concerned about Domestic Abuse, are concerned for your or your child’s safety, or just want more information, the best starting point is here – this covers how to act under the current limitations on movement

If you are worried about how you are coping with emotions or your relationships more widely, then Relate can give online advice.

There is much general advice about sorting out arrangements for children on the Advice now website.  Not all of this advice can apply directly during the Covid 19 shutdown but there is a lot of good factual information here

If you would like help with setting up online contact and need this to start off with the help of an experienced family support worker, then NACCC – the National Association of Child Contact Centres has coordinated those centres that can help facilitate online contact

For children and young people, Childline has a lot of good advice and suggestions about how to cope.

Frequently asked questions

What does this website aim to achieve for me?

This website aims to help you gain as many skills as possible, to help you make child arrangements based on what’s best for your child. Our aim is to prepare you for creating your Parenting Plan, which can be shared with your ex-partner, and worked on together. This way, you have much more control over the arrangements made for your child(ren). Longer-term, your child will grow and arrangements will need to change. The skills you can learn from the information and services on the Co-Parent Hub will help you and your ex-partner to manage those changes as they come up.
